Dupioni (also known as Dupion) is a crisp, plain weave silk fabric made from fine silk threads and slightly uneven yarns created when two or more cocoons are spun together. This gives the fabric a natural shine and a slightly textured, slubby surface. It’s stronger and has more body than other silks like shantung or raw silk. Dupioni is often chosen for its rich look and ability to hold its shape well.
